Hello fellow love warriors! My name is Shannon, and my husband and I have 2 small boys (ages 5 & 3), and a baby girl on the way, due in March. My sweet husband is a good daddy & partner, but hasn’t had any luck so far finding a job that both makes him feel satisfied and provides well for our family. I’m a mental health therapist and was able to provide well enough for us...but then our oldest son came along and my heart told me to cut back and stay home part time, and I listened. We are consistently struggling to pay our bills and the upcoming birth copay is going to be hard to fit in. What we need the most is for my husband to find a job/career path that consistently provides him with a feeling of satisfaction and pride AND pays the bills. I’m asking for prayers, reiki, positive energy, and love to be sent to him to guide him to the right fit. His first name is Jonathan. Thank you!

Ladies, I am crying tears of gratitude today since this post went live and your loving responses came in. Thank you, thank you! It’s like a life raft, and I’m grateful. ❤️
Jonathan is like a car & history savant—he remembers everything he reads, is a passionate learner about cars, planes, (ok, anything involved in transportation), world history, making things run efficiently, and playing with our boys...to sum his interests up in a sentence. He’s super intelligent, does best with clear guidance and respectable leaders, and is super detail-oriented.
I appreciate the offers of coaching, and will reach out!
Love, gratitude, and light from us to all of you! XOXO- Shannon

    Shannon,

You, Jonathan, and all three of your babies are in my prayers. I pray that Jonathan will find a career that provides for his emotional needs as well as your family's physical needs. I will pray for you, that you'll have the strength you need to hold it together when it all feels too much, and that you'll feel so much love that you can break down and let others support you when it is too much. I'll pray for your children, that they will see the examples their parents are setting for them and learn from it. Lastly, I'll pray for your marriage, because I know when times are hard, maintaining relationships seems to be the first thing to go and adds even more stress. Lots of love to you and your family.

Hi Shannon, out of all the letters here, just being able to see the pictures and first few words, I was drawn to you. I was prepared to partner with y’all to send some Christmas gifts, new baby girl items, etc. and then I saw that you are asking for $0 and no material items. I am an executive coach, and would love to offer Jonathan an alignment session with me. This will also give me a chance to get to know him enough to recommend him to my networks and perhaps even find him a job with one of my clients. I am sending y’all so much love!

    Shannon,

My family and I went through something similar this past year. Not only will I pray for Jonathon to find a job but I will pray for strength for you, Shannon, you rockstar! I cannot imagine how tired and frustrated you must be. Keep following your heart and do succumb to guilt. I have also written your names on a post-it note by my desk every time I see it I will send positive energy your way (great idea, friend below). Please let us know how we can help your beautiful family further. What kind of job is your husband looking for?

Sending prayers and positive thoughts to your sweet family! I know your position well, having been there myself. One thing I have learned through the struggle is that having a loving, strong family bond makes you the richest family! My children have grown up to be strong and self sufficient and great with budgeting and bargain hunting; the bonus is that we're still very close, and they often come home for family dinners and game nights. Bless your precious family, and congrats on your new addition!

What a wonderful family. You have such great love for your husband and children. We have made many similar choices to yours, to do what was best for our family. My husband changed jobs many times until he found a place to settle and feel happy. Sending good vibes into the universe for your family's needs to be met. You are not alone, other people understand and have been where you are. You will find what you need!

Sending prayers your way! I remember when my kids were young. It's hard making the choice to stay at home with them because of finances but it is so beneficial and rewarding! I pray Jonathan finds the job he wants and needs!

Shannon, as someone that may be losing her job at 64, I can sympathize with your struggles. I am amazed you did not ask for money and only prayers. Baby, you will definitely have them. I would like to send you a gift card of $25 to help a little towards the holidays. It is not much but I may not be in a very good spot in the near future. God be with you and your husband in his job search. You have a beautiful family.
