My mom is a special woman. She’s raising four of us on her own. She works a full time job and does Postmates to make ends meet. Myself (19)and my brother (17) are old enough to work and she won’t even take anything from us.

Last Christmas I know she asked for help on this site and someone provided a great Christmas for my little sister (4)

Mom was laid off last month because of Covid 19. Luckily she qualifies for unemployment but still hasn’t been paid. She’s stressed and panicking and I really can’t stand seeing her like this. She was strong enough for so long, she walked away from my abusive dad and started all over with just us.

I know it’s less than a week away but I can’t afford to get her anything for Mother’s Day.... so I thought maybe if some of you would send her an email or card or text or something, then she’d know that we love her.

Thanks for reading and I hope all of you are staying safe and healthy

    Hi Alyssa,

I'd love to send a postcard to your mother. Can you please post her address?

    Wow.

First let me start by thanking Alyssa. She’s Ana amazing woman and is only one of the best kids a mom could ever hope for.

Second. Thanks to all of you in this community who sent me cards for Mother’s Day. I have no words. I am literally speechless by the amount of generosity. I was able to get to the grocery store with one of your gifts and actually get some meat. (Along with other much needed things- thank you!) Alyssa cooked a beautiful chicken dinner and it was one of the best mother’s days I’ve ever had

You are amazing woman and I strive to be as wonderful as you. The power of words is an amazing thing..... breathe ❤️

Alyssa, Please fell your mother that I admire her courage to walk away from an abusive situation for her sake and the sake of her children. This is a defining act of vulnerability and also of strength. My mother did not have that strength and one thing I know for sure is that she has changed the trajectory of your lives for the better! Wishing you all many blessings.

    Hi Alyssa,

Your mom is clearly loved because she has such a thoughtful and caring daughter. Is the email in the contact button yours or your moms? I'd be happy to email her.
