Holiday Hands

This mother is a kindergarten teacher at the local public school and is teaching virtually, as well as guiding her daughters through school. She is a mother of four -- ages 19, 17, 13, and a new 1 year old! Her 13 year old is eighth grade and also adjusting to being a new big sister. This young teen has Down syndrome and loves to play with her baby sister. The 17 year old was the star of her basketball team, which track to win the state title last year. However, South Dakota had to make the heartbreaking decision to cancel the state tournament. This year, her senior year of high school, the reservation cancelled basketball season and the most popular Native American basketball tournament, Lakota Nation Invitational. She is heartbroken again. This family is wishing for an air fryer for Christmas so mom can cook healthier and more conveniently for her family as she is already so busy with everyday duties.
