Holiday Hands
Every year, Together Rising celebrates coming together to make the holiday season brighter. For ten years, we’ve held Holiday Hands in November, which was an annual love offering that made the holidays brighter for more than 6,800 families. We are so proud of that legacy.
Throughout that time, Holiday Hands was a place for those who needed a little extra to turn and for people who had a little extra to give. Together, we would witness the miracles that happened when we as a community showed up for each other.
In 2020, for our 10th Annual Holiday Hands, we did things a little differently. We showered more than 800 individuals and families who need a little extra, all in partnership with beloved organizations Together Rising has stood with in recent months and years.
This year, during these extraordinary times, we are carrying that same light from Holiday Hands into a new initiative: supporting essential workers and their families in partnership with trusted organizations. For twenty excruciating months, essential workers have embodied what it means to show up. To honor their resilience, we are showing up for them: for critical food workers, frontline nurses and doctors, and teachers and school staff. While this year’s focus is new, it is deeply rooted in the same principle that started it all: We Belong To Each Other.
