Holiday Hands

Ayana is an amazing young woman who aged out of foster care in NYC. She has been living in her NYCHA apartment for 4 years now. She is currently working toward her bachelor's degree, and plans to pursue a graduate degree in Social Work. She aspires to work in the child welfare system to help other children and young adults succeed. She is also an entrepreneur, starting businesses both to help foster youth and around her passion for cooking. She is a staunch advocate for youth in foster care, linking them to resources and assisting with things like resume writing and career planning.

Ayana has made a choice to battle obesity and rid herself of asthma and sleep apnea. She has learned to cook healthy meals and shares her cooking recipes with others online. She would love to purchase a juicer to continue on her path to a healthier lifestyle!
