“Big boy” bed

Nido de Esperanza | New york, NY
I am seeking asylum in the United States, as I fled my country because of gang violence and violence against my immediate family. I am very grateful to the United States for providing me refuge. I am skilled with computers and have been able to find decent work as a bi-lingual receptionist for a social service agency in New York City. I love my job because I am able to help others connect to other resources in the city. I would like to someday be a social worker and be able to help others even more. I am the mother of two young boys, ages 6 months and 3 years. It was very scary to give birth at the beginning of the pandemic and then be on lockdown for the following weeks. I was so scared for my infant’s health and took every precaution possible. It was scary to even leave my apartment to buy diapers in the beginning. Your kindness in providing a Christmas tree and a few presents would be so appreciated. We all sleep together, but I would love to surprise my older son with his own “big boy” bed (toddler bed) with a Paw Patrol bedspread for Christmas and a new soft blanket.
