Holiday Hands

Ruby feeds the homeless on the reservation twice a week out of her gold SUV that she lovingly calls Goldie Mae. In 2018 she organized the first ever Thanksgiving Celebration. With the help of One Spirit and many of her friends, it was a huge success! Over 400 people showed up to enjoy the feast, some warmth, good company and traditional Lakota music. In 2019 that number more than doubled. This year has brought many challenges but she still finds a way to get food to those that are hungry.
