Holiday Hands

This elder is very traditional Lakota. She has a garden and dries corn, root vegetables that she grows and also meat for the long cold winter months ahead. A large skillet will give her the ability to make Gabubu Bread (baking powder skillet rounds), Papa Wahopi (dry meat soup), and lots of other traditional foods and medicinal teas to keep herself healthy this winter. She also shares her bounty with anyone that needs food.
