Holiday Hands

I gave birth to my second daughter in April in New York City. Unfortunately after I came home from the hospital, I got an infection and had to go back to the hospital for three nights. My husband is an essential worker so his job hasn’t been interrupted, but with two children, now I can’t afford to work. We are getting by, but we certainly don’t have any extra money. All of our earnings go towards rent, electricity, and keeping our internet bill paid so my oldest daughter can attend school virtually. I think she would be so excited to have her first bike and helmet for Christmas from Santa Claus. I would like to make our Christmas special since it has been a hard year. If I had a bit of extra grocery money, I could make a pecan pie like my mom always did and fix a ham.
