Holiday Hands

2020 has been a year of grief for me. I lost two close family members; one died due to COVID and another died of a heart attack. I have a 2-year-old son and a 5-year-old daughter. They are my reason to get out of bed every morning. My daughter is going to kindergarten via Zoom from our couch. It is so hard to keep both children occupied all day long. We take lots of walks, but I don’t know what we will do as the weather gets colder. I would like to ask for a scooter for my daughter for Christmas. Both my children need new coats and hats as the winter sets in. If we had those, we could play in the park on the sunny winter days. I would also like to buy a few arts & crafts supplies so I am prepared for the dark days of January and February with a few fun activities that we could look forward to doing together.
