Holiday Hands

My partner and I had hoped to raise our two daughters (2 and 12 years old) on the same block as their grandparents. When our incomes disappeared due to COVID, we fell behind in rent. While legally we cannot be evicted right now, our landlord has said he wants us out. He has made staying in our apartment unpleasant. We have decided to move to avoid further conflict. This may mean moving further away from my parents who help with childcare and emotional support. I worry that we will not be able to buy holiday gifts for our kids. They don’t understand all that is happening in the world right now. With your generosity we could bring some joy to our kids. My 12 year old loves Lego and Minecraft and my 2 year old, Playmobil.
