Holiday Hands

I live in New York City. 2020 has been a very hard year for me and my son. My three year old son has a serious disease and his immune system is compromised. When COVID hit our city, I was scared to leave my apartment. I didn’t want to bring COVID home to him and cause him to be even more ill. I am a housekeeper so I had to turn down work as I didn’t feel safe being in other people’s houses for long periods of time. I don’t have any family in New York. His childcare center also closed so I didn’t have anywhere to leave him (and I didn’t feel comfortable leaving him with a group of children). Some days it is hard to get out of bed. I love my little angel so much and I know we will get through this with God’s help. If there are other mamas out there that could help us make our Christmas a bit brighter, I would be so happy to know that someone cares. I would like to buy him a set of construction vehicles so we could go to the park and move the sand around like he sees the real construction vehicles do. He could also use a warm winter coat, hat, gloves and boots so we can play in the parks as long as possible. I don’t have a warm hat or gloves either.
