Holiday Hands

I am pregnant with my first baby and am feeling a bit overwhelmed. I usually work as part of a crew that cleans office buildings in New York City. When the pandemic hit NYC, all of the office buildings closed, and they haven’t reopened (or are open at very low capacity). My husband is a porter at a midtown hotel. He is still working, but there aren’t many tourists now, so his tips are very low. We are thankful for his job but really worried about the future. I don’t know what we will do when our baby is born in January. It would make me very happy to have a Pack n’ Play for Christmas so my little one will have a place to sleep. I would also rest easier if I had a stroller and some warm clothes to know that I will be able to take care of my baby through the winter and spring. Hopefully by then the office buildings will reopen and the tourists will return.
