Holiday Hands

This Lakota family was moving often with no permanent housing but finally got a one bedroom apartment. They now have been there a couple of years and feeling more stable. About two years ago, the mom started saving up to buy a used car. They finally got enough by selling arts and crafts that the mom and older boys made. It snows a lot where they live, and it is not safe to drive without snow tires, so the family voted to give up Christmas to have a safe car and reliable transportation. When they didn't have a car, they would walk miles to get anywhere.
