$120,517.50 invested for urgent relief for Hurricane Ian

After our last update, we promised that every penny we received would go to urgent relief for families and children devastated by Hurricane Ian’s historic, catastrophic wreckage, which has been confirmed to have killed at least 109 people.

Since then, more than 842 of you have raised $70,517.50, bringing our total invested to $120,517.50. THANK YOU.

Every penny is being deployed to our partner activated on the ground, The Smile Trust. Their team has successfully coordinated thirteen activation hubs to distribute critical supplies to families in desperate need of help, including water as shown above, non-perishable food, tents, first aid kits, flashlights, batteries, hygiene, medical and cleaning supplies, and more.

With countless homes completely destroyed and more than 300,000 homes and businesses without power, these essentials are bringing much-needed relief to families who have almost nothing left.

We always strive to invest in the most effective partners responding on the ground and are proud to support this Black-led and trans-led organization helping Floridians on the ground. 

We stand with the entire Smile Trust team and every person and community impacted by this catastrophic storm—and will continue to in the long months of recovery and rebuilding to come.
