Colorado fires update

Image description: The photo shows a house that has been severely burned by the Marshall fire.

“Nothing will ever be the same ” is what Jennifer, a single mom to four-year-old son, Jay, wrote to describe what the Marshall fire took from her and her family. Jennifer, her son, her brother, and her parents had all been living together. While she remains indescribably grateful that none of them were physically hurt, they lost everything except the clothes they were wearing.

A single mom to two daughters, Stephanie and her girls are now living in a hotel room. They too lost everything.

Valerie was preparing to welcome her two adult children, Courtney and Parker, back to their childhood home for a belated Christmas celebration when the fire started. The flames ripped off her roof and torched many of her belongings inside.

Together, we are helping Jennifer, Stephanie, Valerie, and many more families. Our grants are helping meet their most immediate needs, including shelter, food, clothes, shoes, toiletries, and more.

In total, we have already deployed 25 grants directly to families. Our team is working hard to distribute grants as quickly as possible, with more to come.

Thank you to TEAM LOVE, our recurring donors, whose donations are funding these grants for families like Jennifer’s, Stephanie’s, and Valerie’s.

What is TEAM LOVE? TEAM LOVE is our amazing community of recurring donors. Their donations are what makes it possible for us to activate quickly when crises hit. Join us on TEAM LOVE at TogetherRising.org/Give.
