Guardian Angels – September 2013

Guardian Angels Love Flash Mob was held on September 17, 2013. We raised $100,000 in six hours – with maximum donations of $25 each. The funding was enough to provide four alert dogs as guardian angels and companions for children desperately in need of canine companions. Two children suffered from Type 1 Diabetes and needed diabetic alert dogs in order to participate in life in ways we take for granted – go to school, visit a friend’s home, sleep through the night. The two other children posed high risks for wandering away into dangerous situations – one as a result of autism and the other as a result of Down syndrome.
