Our hearts remain shattered
Our hearts remain shattered by the horrific killing of nineteen children and two teachers at Robb Elementary.
We promised that every penny we raised last week would be equally split between direct financial support for the Uvalde victims’ grieving families via VictimsFirst and structural change to help prevent future tragedies via the Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund.
Together, we raised a total of $460,571.84.
$230,285.92 is going directly to the Uvalde victims’ families via VictimsFirst. Founded and led by victims’ families, VictimsFirst exists so that every penny of donations directed to victims’ families after mass shootings is received by the families.
$230,285.92 is going directly to the Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund for structural change to help prevent future tragedies through programs such as One Thing You Can Do. One Thing You Can Do provides the most up-to-date information about states’ red flag laws, which enable a loved one to have firearms quickly and temporarily removed from a high-risk individual.
To the more than 4,785 of you who donated, thank you. To countless others who helped spread the word, thank you.
Thank you for trusting Together Rising to turn your heartbreak into action. We are deeply grateful for you, the trust you have placed in us, and your dedication to continuing to show up.
